Kwait Chiropractic Graston Technique® Chiropractic Care in Marin
The Graston Technique® is a patented approach to chiropractic healing from traumatic injuries, chronic conditions, or post-surgical rehabilitation. Not only does it restore full range of motion and relieve pain but it is non-invasive and effective for a wide range of patients and ailments. In fact, the majority of patients undergoing chiropractic treatment of this type experience visible results within the first three to four treatments.
Kwait Chiropractic in Marin is happy to offer the Graston Technique® as one of the many treatment options available to help our chiropractic patients back to full health as quickly as possible.
How Does the Graston Technique® Work?

Scar tissue can form because of acute injuries (car accidents, improper lifting technique, or even just regular exercise) or can form overtime in patients with chronic conditions that cause them to permanently alter their posture or habitual motions.
The Graston Technique® eliminates this scar tissue by physically breaking up collagen cross-links, splaying and stretching connective tissues, and facilitating reflex changes in chronic muscle patterns.
Treatments also increase blood flow, both in rate and volume, to the problem areas which induces healing via increased cellular activity.
But the Graston Technique® is not a standalone solution. It is a tool to be used in conjunction with regular chiropractic therapy to repair the body in order to alleviate pain and suffering.
Each chiropractic care session in Dr. Kwait’s Marin County facility includes warm-ups to prepare the area for treatment, instrument-aided Graston Technique® treatments, and always ends with stretching and flexibility exercises.
Chiropractic patients are typically scheduled for two treatments a week over a period of four to five weeks.
Is the Graston Technique® Safe?

The Graston Technique® has become standard protocol in hospital-based outpatient facilities, and industrial on-site treatment facilities around the country. It’s used at universities and by professional sports associations including the NBA, NHL, and MLB.
However, each patient’s injury is different and a detailed evaluation is needed before any course of chiropractic treatment is agreed upon. The Graston Technique® is just one service offered by Dr. Kwait’s chiropractic care center in Marin County.
